Driving uninsured didn’t make this disabled driver act any more careful behind the wheel. In fact, the exact opposite.

Seattle-area driver and Redditor /u/tarasaurust shared headshaking rear dashcam footage from earlier in January (Jan 30, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a disabled driver in her Cadillac rear-ending his bumper because she thought the light had turned green when, in fact, quite the opposite is true.

Check out the infuriating rear dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of 26th Ave SW and SW Barton St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is pointed northbound on 26th, ready to turn onto Barton.

Behind him is a driver in a white Cadillac displaying a disabled placard.

Likely distracted, we see the driver in the Cadillac stop, but suddenly accelerate forward, quite strongly, into the rear of OP’s bumper.

It turns out the distracted driver’s full driving status is not ideal because, on top of being distracted, they were also uninsured.

“(The) lady had no insurance and insisted the light turned green,” OP clarified in the comments.

“Spoiler: It had not, and the three cars in front of her never moved (either.).”

“I could feel the anger in the sound of the parking brake being pulled,” the top comment from /u/ediks reads.

“Grandma is losing her license,” /u/Sir-Drewid predicted.

“He thought he was walking a lonely road as it was the only one he ever known,” /u/zordda added, referring to the Green Day song heard in the background playing through OP’s speakers.
