This driver in a Subaru Forester sent it across 4 lanes of traffic despite not being able to see one, or several, of the lanes, and almost pays for it, dearly.

Worcester-area driver and Redditor /u/Micktorious shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in February (Feb 17, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a reckless driver sending it across 4 lanes of traffic despite not having a clear view of at least one of the lanes.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersectino of Chandler St. and Mason St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed westbound on Chandler.

Traffic on Mason attempting to turn and cross has a stop sign; they must stop and yield to traffic on Chandler first, before proceeding.

Cars are stacked up in the leftmost lane headed westbound.

“People turn left here all the time; that is what I was expecting. The car in front of me also just passed through, no issue.”

Suddenly, a driver in a Subaru Forester from Mason appears in front of OP as it attempts to make it across all four lanes of traffic.

Clearly, that driver could not see OP coming.

OP emergency brakes and avoids t-boning the careless driver by less than a foot.

“Shouldn’t anyone crossing 4 lanes like that also stop and look when they are crossing potentially moving lanes of traffic?”

“I know I could have been more defensive here, but they really just sent it across all the lanes. They weren’t checking for me either.”

“Stupid drivers and their wave of death. They think they are being helpful, but in many cases cause more issues than needed,” the top comment from /u/Steven2757 reads.
