This driver lazily drifted into oncoming traffic to make a left turn instead of yielding to cross traffic and turning like a normal person
Bergen County-area driver and Redditor /u/bloody_boogers shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier in September (Sept. 18, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a lazy driver opting to drive several yards into oncoming traffic instead of going straight and slowing to yield before turning like a normal person.

The incident happened along the 100 block of Franklin Ave just before the intersection with Cottage Pl (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is going east down Franklin Ave towards Maple and, a little further down, Irving.
As he passes Ridgewood Dental, a driver turning left onto Franklin from Cottage makes a beeline for the driveway next to the Franklin Professional Building, except they go into oncoming traffic, straight for OP, to do so.
OP slows, honks, and says some appropriate expletives, asking what this driver is doing.
All the while, the lazy driver hops the short curb into the driveway before continuing on.
“Gotta love driving in NJ where every geriatric behind the wheel that should’ve been re-tested 10 years ago makes it a gamble to travel down the road,” one of the top comments from /u/Kraven_Lupei reads.
“I’ve had people just blankly stare at me as they run stop signs, red lights, and cross over double yellows, like, 3-5 times a month. It’s ridiculous.”
“Driver’s definitely an idiot, but it does also annoy the s*** out of me when people don’t use a crosswalk that’s 10 feet down the road,” /u/ForTheBread added, referencing a jaywalker in the first half of the video.
