All this driver had to do was pay attention at a 4-way stop, but instead, he almost T-boned this dashcam owner.
Cobb County-area driver and Redditor /u/jenn2323 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from this busy Acworth intersection from earlier in October (Oct 19, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a driver not paying attention at a 4-way stop, almost T-boning this dashcam owner as a result.
Check out how it all played out below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of Old Stilesboro Rd NW and Cheatham Rd NW (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP approaches the aforementioned 4-way stop going north on Cheatham towards the 92 and Allatoona Bay.
This is a standard 4-way/All Way stop where drivers take turns and go, following the rules of the road.
The driver in front of him turns left first, followed by two drivers going straight through Stilesboro.
With no one in front of OP, it’s her turn; however, a driver on OP’s right, who should go after OP, starts to go while OP is halfway through.
They have the nerve to honk at OP before OP returns the favor.
“That’s what pissed me off the most, lol,” OP replied to one of the top comments re the honk.
“I feel like if you hesitate even a second longer than people think you should, they’ll just decide it’s their turn to go instead of yours,” /u/wild–wes pointed out.
“You all can say they’re stupid, maybe they are. However, EVERY person in the USA is taught how to navigate a 4-way stop before you can obtain a driver’s license. There really isn’t an excuse not to know how to traverse them,” /u/ZaxBarkas put it.
In Georgia, a citation for failing to yield properly at a 4-way intersection adds 3 points to your driving record. The base fine typically ranges from $100 to $300, though local court surcharges and county fees can push the total cost much higher. Accumulating 15 points within a 24-month period will result in an automatic license suspension.
