With Lancia Delta Integrale’s ready to import to America, now might be ripe for what Automobili Amos is calling a Singer version of the famous Lancia Delta Integrale.

There’s no other car that defined late 80’s Rallying quite like the Lancia Delta Integrale. WIth 46 WRC victorious including winning the coveted constructor’s championship a whopping six times in a row, it might be peak nostalgia time for Automobili Amos to cash in on. According to my favorite news source for all things Italian Al Volante.it on their report on this restomod from earlier yesterday (Aug. 20, 2018) although it was hyped earlier this year that this homage to a Italian Rally legend was going to happen, no date was given, until now.

As per Al Volante, Automobili Amos chose the upcoming Grand Basel in Basel that runs from September 6-9, 2018 as its entrance stage to the world.

As previously mentioned in other takes on this up and coming restomod, Automobili Amos hopes he can be to Lancia what Singer is to Porsche, which is a tall order given that Singers are quite the benchmark to aim for.

To his credit, these Lancia Delta Integrale’s will take Singer-level time to make, each one will take four months to build. Given a quoted number of 15 examples, that’ll take up five years. With over 1,000 components replaced with brand new equivalents including material upgrades like carbon fiber and aluminum alloys, these Restomod Lancia Delta Integrales will deliver on the price Autmobili Amos will ask for, price to be announced.

Given the prominence of the original Lancia Delta Integrales, the WRC mantle they carry and the painstaking levels of restoration and perfection Singer goes through, I’m keen to see how great these Lancias turn out. Lancias are known for their quintessential boxxy styling, big power, and legendary permanent 4WD system that translates to handling on rails. To improve on that formula will be a monumental task.

But, if there’s one man up to the task, it’s Eugenio Amos, an accomplished racing driver in his own right and a proper car enthusiast.

Here’s to you selling out as soon as order books open, Eugenio.
