When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go and instead of sullying the beautiful Wales countryside, this French driver opted to do the civil thing.

We like to think of rally drivers as automatons who drive robotically through the woods at breakneck speeds, only stopping once their stage is done, but they’re regular humans just like you and I. As per motorsports videographer Paul Fraikin on his video clip that he posted up earlier this weekend (Oct. 15, 2018) he caught a most unusual pit stop on camera that’s truly a once-in-a-lifetime situation. French Rally Driver Pierre-Louis Loubet stopped in the middle of a stage, parallel parked at a stranger’s house in Wales, and used the bathroom like a civilized human being.

The WRC Championship for 2018 is just about done this year but not before they stopped at the penultimate rally stage in Wales. With 23 separate stages on this particular stop, many of the stages weave their way through city streets. And with some stages starting at the crack of dawn and finishing, with breaks in between, hours later, finding time to get to the bathroom is few and far between.

Just like this French rally driver found out when he took off in his WRC Hyundai Rally car, it looks like his previous night’s dinner hadn’t fully made its way through his digestive system. Normally, a rally driver might stop on the side of the road and run into the woods, but, when you’re driving in the middle of the city, you really have no choice but to either poop your pants or ask a stranger where the nearest toilet is.

Luckily for this young chap, this friendly Welsh couple obliged, letting the young rally driver use their toilet without a moment’s notice.

As per the video, he had to disrobe out of his race suit, do his business, and suit-up, which added to the hilarity of it all.

Everyone was in good spirits and Pierre joined the race a couple of grams lighter.
