At least three teens have been identified in a viral rock and bottle throwing video that swept the nation earlier this week and word on the street is one teen lost a full scholarship ride.

Teenagers, since the beginning of time they’ve been involved in all sorts of shenanigans on different levels. It’s what teens do and a healthy amount of teenage angst is to be expected but there has been an uptick in asinine levels of downright stupidity like these Oklahoma teens who filmed themselves throwing bottles and rocks at vehicles. According to News9.com, all three teens involved have been identified and since this report went out earlier last week (Nov. 13,2018) there have been few to no updates from local police as this is an ongoing investigation.

But, digging into some comments online, it looks like some serious repercussions have already been doled out.

Fucking dumbass teenagers throw beer bottles and rocks at cars driving by. from r/trashy

According to a couple of recent comments on this Reddit thread, which also shows the video in question, the main filmer, a supposed Highschool Valedictorian who DID have a full ride scholarship to the University of Oklahoma, lost her scholarship and is stripped as Valedictorian of her High School.

The other two teens? Not much is known of their fate but all three will be charged as full-grown adults and not minors as previously reported.

To put this into perspective and to understand the level of just how much they screwed their own lives, a quick bit of searching reveals that a year of college at Oklahoma University costs an in-state resident $11,762.50. Over four years and you’re looking at $47,048, that’s not including books, housing, food, miscellaneous expenses and probably thousands more per year. This girl literally had it all and threw it all away because she hung out with the wrong crowd.

Usually, I don’t write words on these incidents but if it can scare some teenagers thinking of straying from the straight and narrow to do something as heinous as this, then it’s worth it for posterity’s sake.

And if you were wondering what the official fines and prison time is handed out for “Throwing or dropping objects at moving vehicles” in the State of Oklahoma, as per the official state code,

Any violation of subsection A or B of this section shall be deemed a felony and, upon conviction, shall be punishable by imprisonment in the Department of Corrections for a term of not more than ten (10) years, or by a fine not exceeding Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), or by both such fine and imprisonment.

All three teens will either face jail time or will have to pay a fine.

Keep this page bookmarked as I’ll update y’all on any changes.

There are other ways to rebel against society and show your teenage angst. Possibly hurting others is not one of those ways.
