You’ve probably come across someone trading in one particularly clean Toyota MR2 but five clean examples, all at one time, is unheard of.

This Missouri Toyota dealership got the surprise of its life when an owner shopping around for a new car proposed a trade-in of epic proportions. Not one, not two, but they had five pristine MK1 Toyota MR2’s they’d like to be brought in and used towards a new vehicle purchase. If you were wondering, the particular MR2’s they brought in were of the MK1 variety a.k.a. the W10/AW11 ones.

Check out the amazing photo they shared with social media, below!

Something you’re likely to NEVER see again.. Five MK1 MR-2 traded in at one time! All of them have been part of a well maintained collection for decades. These will be for sale, so details as far as year, mileage, and pricing will be forthcoming.

True to their word and according to Coad Toyota’s listing for used Toyota MR-2’s, they’ve already listed all the Toyota’s for sale here. To save you a click, I’ve listed all the Toyota’s MR-2’s they got for trade-in below.

  1. 1988 Toyota MR2 Supercharged with 79,490 miles. VIN: JT2AW16J3J0137016
  2. 1987 Toyota MR2 base with 80,539 miles. VIN: JT2AW15JXH0116420
  3. 1986 Toyota MR2 base with 140,427 miles. VIN: JT2AW15C3G0084863
  4. 1985 Toyota MR2 base with 207,686 miles. VIN:  JT2AW15C5F0042807
  5. 1989 Toyota MR2 2dr Coupe 5-Spd w/T-Bar with 28,066 miles. VIN: JT2AW15J4K0151588

There are several noteworthy things to mention about this particular set of MR2’s. First, it’s that the dealership mentions these cars came from a “well-maintained collection,” which begs the question, how many and what other cars does this owner have? And what other gems does he have if these are the ones he can part with? I’m sure he’d like to remain anonymous to keep his cars out of the prying eyes of those “millennials with a hankering for something rad.”

Second, this collection of MR2’s isn’t particularly mint condition, one of them has over 200,000 miles which, for any other car of the era, would be a lot. This just intrigues me to no end about this owner who presumably drove these cars hard throughout the years, an enthusiast after an enthusiast’s heart.

If you’re wondering, a cursory search on Autotrader around the area values these cars in the neighborhood of $3000-$30,000 depending on the condition with the mint examples going for the latter figure.

Just off the top of my head, I’d say the dealership paid in the neighborhood of $20,000 for all five of these cars, good enough for a new Toyota Corolla out the door which starts at $18,700.
