Ladies, take notes, here’s one sure-fire way to make your better half happy, buy them an R35 Nissan GT-R.

Wendy Howard just became the world’s best wife because, according to the latest video she dropped on Facebook earlier today (Dec. 23, 2018) she quite literally saved and worked her butt off to buy her husband his dream car, an R35 2009 Nissan GT-R.

Check out the amazing video for yourself below. Please bear with the cameraman as he has yet to discover shooting a video in landscape.

Details are few and far between at the moment but it looks like new GT-R owner Ray Howard must’ve been doing something right to deserve this Japanese Supercar. According to his Facebook profile and after a cursory Google search, Ray is a video game streamer who hosts exclusively on Facebook. Here’s his most recent stream where, with 7 minutes left in the stream, he leaves suddenly. We now know he was being surprised with his new car.

Wendy, Ray’s wife, looks to be a nurse as per her Facebook profile (it’s not like I was snooping, she literally shared it from her own personal profile) so I’m going to assume she’s making a good amount of money, because while used GT-R’s are far less expensive than new ones, they aren’t exactly cheap. Used ones on Autotrader around the Tennesse area range from $40,000-$70,000 depending on condition and mileage. That amount of money buys a lot of car these days. From the comments section in that video, supposedly “she paid cash” and from her video she says she’s,”been saving for months.”

Ray seems to be pretty happy with his new-to-him GT-R as he posted an update video a few hours later from his own account and later on his twitter.

If there’s one car that most gamers will know about, it’s the GT-R. What it lacks in soul and emotional design it makes up for in raw power and technology. Under the hood is a twin-turbo V6 good for 478 HP and 434 lb-ft which, when routed through Nissan’s legendary all-wheel drive ATTESA E-TS system developed over decades, makes for a supercar shaming super coupe. Its AWD system is so good that even the Dodge Challenger Hellcat with 707 HP can’t put its power down good enough with a 0-60 MPH time more than half a second slower, the GT-R, in the right hands, can do it in 2.7 seconds.

Oh, and did I mention its launch control system? Nissan originally designed the GT-R’s launch control system to get out of mud, snow, and sticky situations. A quick search on Youtube shows that owners prefer to use launch control to go fast in straight lines.

Congrats Ray on your new ride and kudos to you, Wendy, for being a top-notch wife.

And, if you’re like 99.9 percent of other couples out there that don’t have this much dough to drop on a gift, don’t feel bad. The best gifts are the gifts are the ones that come from the heart. It’s just that Wendy had $50,000 in her piggy bank.
