Clearwater Florida police shared a shocking video of motorcyclists going at triple-digit speeds, one hitting 156 MPH, during a weekend crackdown on speeding bikers.

Motorcyclists have every right to be on the same roads as cars but it’s a couple of rotten bikers that are giving a bad name to the majority of law-abiding two-wheelers. As per Fox 35 Orlando and the Clearwater, Flor. police on their report on the matter earlier today (Apr. 9, 2019) video footage submitted on social media shows just how wild and crazy motorcyclists can get on a stretch of U.S. Highway 19. Check out the crazy video footage for yourself below.

Your eyes do not deceive you, that motorcyclist really did speed by a police cruiser at nearly triple the legal limit. If god forbid that motorcyclist had a mechanical issue, no amount of rider safety equipment or emergency services could save him.

And here are the mugs of four of the speeders caught this past weekend.

Running North to South in Florida and traversing most of the Eastern Seaboard, U.S. Route 19 and its 264 miles of Flor. road is a known hot-spot for speeders thanks to mainly being flat, having several lanes, and running straight for several miles without curves, a speeders paradise if you will.

According to ABC Action News, locals have even dubbed one stretch of I-19 “Death Valley” because of how many speeders crash.

In order to crack down on speeders in the area, especially bikers who risk it all in the name of speed because, frankly, they think they can outrun police, Clearwater police set aside their weekend, calibrated their radar guns, and went about the task of catching zoomers.

In a statement to Fox 35,

“Triple-digit speeds are a recipe for disaster, not just for the motorcyclists, but for any other driver who might be in their path,” according to a statement by the Clearwater Police Department. “We see the bumper stickers all the time that say, ‘Look Twice, Save A Life, Motorcycles Are Everywhere.’ When you are operating a motorcycle at 123 mph or 135 mph, it’s hard for others to look twice and save a life when the speed is so ridiculous.”

Driving or riding at high-speed is understandably fun but only when your equipment is in tip-top shape, you have the right training, and more importantly, you’re not on a public road. You only should be doing these high-speed antics on a race track.

There’s no excuse for this behavior, motorcyclists.
