OCPD have had it up to here with shenanigans this weekend and are more than ready to use whatever force necessary to maintain law and order in this small beach town.
Tensions between H2OI 2019 attendees and police in Ocean City, MD reached a fever pitch earlier Saturday night as police were stretched thin trying to keep order on the busy sidewalks that lined Coastal Highway.
The overall mood took a turn for the worst when some random bro presumably started shouting something obscene and uncalled for to local OCPD as they strolled the streets next to them.
Apparently it was so bad that one police officer, after warning the individual multiple times before people started filming, resorted to whipping out his Ocean City Police issued taser and tazing the bro until he had no choice but to comply.
Tasers do that.

Specifics are few at the moment but I can only assume that whatever he was shouting rubbed police the wrong way.
While it’s not an arrestable offence to yell at police per-say, you can’t really yell anything at police and expect to get away with immunity.
The oft-cited example is inciting violence with your speech that passes both elements of the Brandenburg Test.
- The speech is “directed to inciting or producing imminent lawless action,” AND
- The speech is “likely to incite or produce such action.”
There are other examples of speech not protected by the first amendment that you might thing does not cross the line but does but inciting violence is the most cited one.
One thing is for certain regarding H2OI 2019, this weekend is a landmark weekend for the event.
Ocean City and local PD probably thought increased fines and more police presence is enough but that’s not the case.
I expect to see drastic action taken at a county and state level to curtail next year’s attendance with my previous blog posts as concrete examples why.
Car gatherings shouldn’t result in people getting tazed, but that’s what happens when you get an unorganized group of people roaming an otherwise delightful town.

There is way more to it then that ocpd was beung straight up ass holes at ome point came out my hotel because i heard all these cops and they were parading down the road so i went out to take a video real quick and instantly a cop said you can’t be in the side walk and tried to mase me and my buddy because we were standing on the side walk out front of our hotel there were using excessive force on people that weren’t even acting out or anything i already filed a complaint with ocpd
I live in OC Me. You KIDS come into our town like you own it and do nothing but cause trouble. Yes, I said KIDS! I don’t care if you 17 or 27., you all ac1t like a bunch of idi**s. You have no respect for anyone, or anything as far as I`m concerned. You don’t know how to act and control yourselves as adults. When you learn how do do THAT, then maybe you won’t be treated in the fashion that you all were. Grow up and get with the program; and quit acting like spoiled KIDS. Wow… Just wow. This article and comments are sad to read. A general, “serves ’em right!” feeling is what I’m seeing. Please try and see what’s really going on here before it’s too late. You say that there’s a bunch of hooligans / thug kids running around making your nice neighborhood bad. Ok, fine. But that doesn’t mean you get to turn to your local police and say,
“Hey guys, you know that thing called the constitution? You know about building a positive relationship with your community? Why not just throw that away tonight and just become thugs and act like a street gang tonight?! I’m sure there will be no damage caused, or people’s lives ruined, or aby boduly harm done (at least not to anyone I care about). I’m sure they all had it coming anyways. So just go wild you guys and teach those kids a lesson or two in how you don’t rub the cops the wrong way and get away with it!”
One day you’re going to be on the receiving side of these now unleashed thug cops and it’s not going to be pretty. One day the general population is going to have enough and I truly hope I’m not around to see it but I can’t say we didn’t warn you…
