These two pages showing delivery people and the dogs they meet is a must follow.

Dogs, delivery drivers, and good vibes, what’s not to like about @UPSDogs on Facebook and Instagram? Deliveries are usually made in the middle of the day when no one’s at home except our furry little friends. @UPSDogs is dedicated to the daily interaction the men and women of UPS have with their favorite pups (and all animals really.)

Here’s the links to @UPSDogs on Instagram and Facebook and some of my favorite photos below.

According to the HuffPo, the creator of the page, Sean McCarren, has been working for UPS for over 17 years.

“When you’re running into dogs all the time, it creates a bond when you see them every day,” he told HuffPost. “It’s cool to meet some of the same dogs on the route, because they know who you are and they are excited to see you.”

Their About Us section on their Facebook page also provides us with a bit of background info.

UPS drivers deliver packages all day long. During each day, drivers encounter many dogs, most friendly and some not so nice. When time permits, drivers snap a photo and send it in to UPS Dogs. Our followers love the photos and the stories told as we share our love of these special relationships with these lovable creatures.”

UPS Drivers work long hours, often starting early in the morning with a specific route, delivering hundreds of packages non-stop. Their routes and overall work have only gotten busier as holiday buying seasons are longer, people prefer on-line shopping, and unfortunately, some routes are combined thanks to mother nature doing a number with all the fires, tornadoes, earthquakes etc.

Friendly dogs are a welcome perk to their delivery routes.

Dog’s, creatures of habit, as mentioned, form bonds with their drivers, reinforced by the sound of their large box trucks.

I reckon the feeling’s mutual towards some dogs, slightly bored with the monotony of not having their owners with them. A bit of mid-day human interaction bodes well for the dog’s well being.

If your dog has a special bond with a UPS delivery driver, let them know and maybe snap a photo to send their way.
