This Ford Mustang driver pulled off a classic #MustangThings move and caused a gigantic wreck.

It’s been over four years since the great Mustang crashes of 2016 but Mustangs are still taking Ls left and right, this latest one from Spring, TX. Twitter use @htxg1 captured the moment this Ford Mustang decided to floor it after a car meet near Bombshells, momentarily losing control and steering into another lane, subsequently getting T-boned by a Cadillac Escalade.

Check out the shocking video that’s already racked up more than a million views below.

In my opinion, this man has zero driving skills beyond what he learned during drivers ED. Right off the bat, he floors it with cold tires and unsurprisingly oversteers towards the curb. Over-correcting, he steers left and veers into the path of a Cadillac Escalade which has no room to slow down.

The Escalade slams into the driver’s door of the Mustang and they both crash into the drainage ditch separating the road and the adjacent highway.

You can see what I mean by adjacent highway on Google Maps linked here.

Although the Escalade and Mustang driver escaped unharmed, a dog riding shotgun in the Escalade bolted from the scene of the accident and into oncoming highway traffic. I assume the dog was hit because the owner tweeted the unfortunate news that his pup didn’t make it.

To make matters worse, the Mustang driver, ID’d as Kaleb Champaigne, had the ba**s to blame a faulty clutch while he shifted into second for his accident. Video proof clearly shows otherwise, and that he was 100 percent at fault for his own crash.

I hope authorities saw this witness’s video and Kaleb’s prosecuted justly for his actions.

It seems like Mustang owners will never learn. We can only be vigilant on the road, driving defensively to avoid these a**ho***.

While we’re fortunate to have video evidence in this case, it would also help not to encourage this type of behaviour by giving them a crowd as they exit. If you have the willpower, don’t show these Mustang owners we’re willing to enjoy whatever show they’ll dole out. A.K.A. don’t stand on sidewalks after the meet as they exit if you can help it.

My condolence to the dog’s owner and I hope they, as many recommend on Twitter, to seek some kind of legal justice against this Mustang owner.

  1. I always look for vehicles on the side of me coming onto the road and SLOWDOWN!
The Escalade was driving excessively and not aware of his surroundings. Always look for oncoming traffic.
