Boogie2988 owns and drives this 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE.
Think Youtuber cars and the ones that instantly come to mind include Teslas, G-Wagens, Lamborghinis, and Porsches. Boogie2988 is bucking the trend with something a lot less flashy.
According to a Youtube video he dropped last month, Boogie2988 now owns and drives a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE. And, it’s not new, just certified pre-owned, a smart move considering there’s only 12,000 miles on the odometer and it only cost him $20,000.
Williams says how,
“I wanted something that was fuel efficient and with all the technology and this car does that…Scotty Kilmer and all these other Youtube car guys told me that this is one of the safest cars I could choose to purchase so this is the one I got for that purpose.”
The Corolla Hybrid melds together two powerhouses of Toyotas reputation, its legendary reliability with this 12th generation Corolla and its pioneering hybrid tech perfected with the Toyota Prius.
Simply put, Toyota stuffed the Prius hybrid powertrain into a Corolla making, possibly, the most reliable and fuel efficient (53 city/52 highway) internal combustion engine cars in Toyota’s history.
Williams describes how a car, for him, represents a conscious decision to step outside his home and explore the world.
“I was going to purchase a Tesla because I wanted to get out in to the world. I wanted to travel and see things. I wanted to take my dog to cool places. I wanted to use it as an excuse to exercises and eat better and live my life and I ended up not buying that car and soon after, I had absolutely no need for a car.”

Cars, at their core, are a means of transportation and an extension to improve your quality of life. For some, that might mean sports cars and luxo-barges but, for the large majority of us, myself included, these reliable commuter cars represent all we’ll ever need from a car.
With all the drama and a different stress that comes from making a living solely online, I’m glad to see Boogie2988 has one piece of technology that honestly brings him a slice of freedom, peace, and genuine enjoyment.
