Jennifer Aniston is one of the few celebrities who knows how to drive a manual (stick) car.
Renewed for a third season, Apple’s hit exclusive, “The Morning Show” was caught by NY resident New York Mickey filming on scene in The Big Apple earlier in the year. Mickey was lucky enough to catch one of the show’s stars, Jennifer Aniston, actually driving off in a ’69-’71 Porsche 911 Targa manual.
Yes, Jennifer Aniston knows how to drive a stick shift!

According to New York Hollywood Car expert @StarsAndTheirCars, Aniston is behind the wheel of a ’69-’71 Porsche 911 Targa with New York license plate (fake) VOP-4138.
As the video shows, it’s clearly a manual as,
A) It’s a classic Porsche 911 and automatics weren’t widely available around this generation 911.
and
B) Either scripted or on accident, Aniston has a bit of trouble getting her Porsche 911 into the correct gear, the unmistakable sound of gearbox/clutch noise echoing against New York’s multi-story buildings.
In the much longer video on YouTube we can see Aniston arriving and driving off with co-star John Hamm waiting to meet her on the sidewalk.
It looks like Hamm is being filmed reacting to what probably is a mid-life crisis purchase of sorts on the show.
While one Redditor on the /r/ShowerThoughts subreddit points out how it’s unbelivable Aniston can drive a stick (a Ferrari Testarossa) for the first time without stalling, this bit of manual driving in New York makes that a little more believable.
And, if you’re a fan of Aniston this Porsche x Aniston on-screen collab shouldn’t be a surprise as, also according to @StarsAndTheirCars, Aniston was spotted running errands around Beverly Hills in her 2019 Porsche 911 (99.1.2) Targa 4S earlier in May.
