You can get fined for going too slow just as easily as going too fast.

Presumed Gage County resident and Redditor /u/Glum-Name669 shared dashcam footage of a local Beatrice woman’s dangerous driving habit to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing her driving at a too slow 15 MPH in a 50 MPH zone.

/u/Glum-Name669 claims he’s seen this woman doing this slow speed antic in her Toyota Camry at least 4-5 times in the past weeks.

“If you follow too long, she’ll roll down her window and flip you off and/or yell at you.

Check out his video below.

[OC] This lady refuses to drive faster than 15-20 even in 50-60mph zones. If you follow too long she’ll roll down her window and flip you off/yell at you. Almost got me rear-ended this morning.

This particular incident happened in the 4100 block of N 6th St. in Beatrice, NE (exact location on Google maps linked here.)

As OP’s video shows, he’s driving in the left lane of US 77.

Off in the distance, he doesn’t realize it, but the offending Camry driver is doing a leisurely 15 MPH.

As mentioned, the speed limit here is 50 MPH, but OP’s seen her do this in 60 MPH zones, too.

By the time he catches up to the woman, it’s too late to safely change lane, as there’s another car fast approaching on his right.

OP almost gets into an accident.

“…there was a car in the lane next to me with 2 cars behind them, and I had a jeep behind me that went around. The white jeep wasn’t slowing as quickly as I’d like, and I assumed they were going to quickly change lanes when they realized I was basically stopping.”

As many in the comments pointed out, it’s against Nebraska’s Motor Vehicle code to drive too low and impede traffic.

§ 60-6,193 says that “No person shall drive a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic except when reduced speed is necessary for safe operation or in compliance with law.”

Going 15 in a 50 is breaking that quite clearly.

Before all the fees and hassle, impeding traffic in NE earns you a $25 fine.

“Not actual advice but get in front of her and start going 5, see how she likes it,” /u/Ha1Storm suggested.

“That’s a massive hazard, make the call because someone’s going to die because of her stubbornness,” /u/Somalla**es replied.

OP confirmed he called police, to which they replied to call them back when he sees it again so they can catch the woman with their own two eyes.

Isn’t that what dashcam footage is for?

If you live around Beatrice, NE, watch out for this lady!

It’s best not to engage her but to call local police ASAP as she seems set in her ways.
