Before you find out the truth, enjoy the masterpiece that is this Aussie GF roasting his BF.

Australian man Victor Grey, who goes by @VictorGreyGrey on social media, posted up a now viral video showing the hilarious and harebrained moment he supposedly tried to big brain his girlfriend by saying how he saved 10 cents a litre on fuel by filling up with petrol (gas for us Americans) instead of diesel.

The problem is Grey drives a Mitsubishi Pajero (Montero for us) Turbo Diesel, an SUV that doesn’t take petrol at all!

Check out his hilarious video below.

“It’s 10 cents a litre cheaper to put petrol in, instead of diesel,” Grey explains to his girlfriend.

“But, it’s a diesel car,” his GF says pointing out the painfully obvious.

“Jessica, that doesn’t exist. They’re just cars like, what are you, literally what would happen. What’s gonna…”

Jump cut to their Pajero on a flat bed, Jessica in the background absolutely roasting Grey.

“It’s diesel.”

“Petrol is cheaper.”

“It’s just a suggestion.”

“It doesn’t make a difference.”

“It’ll drive on whatever.”

“This is the end of everything.”

The video ends with Grey absolutely dejected, squatting on the sidewalk, watching as his Pajero is winched up to the back of the tow truck.

Grey evaluating his life choices.

Grey got absolutely roasted in the comments.

“That 10 cents a litre didn’t turn out cheaper ???? $5000 later,” @LisaEdwards487 commented.

“You can’t call him your man no more he’s officially lost his man card ????,” @Jimbert200 replied.

“He’s the bloke that calls a bloke to change a tyre,” @OG_DaMoe added.

So, is Grey for real?

Did he just film himself voluntarily handing in his man card?

Well, no. According to Grey in a not as viral follow-up video, it was just a joke.

We can see Grey and his girlfriend going back and forth with each other, perfecting their lines.

“This (now viral) skit got 48 million views in 7 hours. We made a lot of men angry with this video. Our car had to be towed and we thought it’d be funny to film a TikTok while we waited.”

“It took 33 takes to perfect the bickering. A lot of people in the comments took it to a weird, chauvinistic place.’

“Y’all are passionate about fuel!’

“This is probably the peak of my acting career.”

Grey brilliantly touched on an increasingly hilarious but semi-true trope that is the modern male not knowing anything about how cars work, maintenance included.

If you’re looking to go viral and don’t mind rick getting remembered as “that dude who doesn’t know anything about cars,” this is one route to go.

Coincidentally, yours truly did something to the same effect on X/Twitter, pretending I didn’t know Lexus was made by Toyota.

Some non-car websites took the bait.

As one of my followers replied, satire is dead.
