This is what the cool kids call having Main Character Syndrome.

What do you do if you’re stuck in a long line of cars waiting to turn left at 5 P.M. on a Thursday in the middle of gridlocked Central Los Angeles?

Normally, you tough it out and wait or re-route, but not if you’re this Dodge Ram driver who thinks traffic laws do not apply to him.

Presumed Los Angeles resident and Redditor /u/Elvinsa posted up dashcam footage from Los Angeles, CA to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the boneheaded moment this driver in a Dodge Ram drove on the wrong side of just to cut traffic.

Check out him being the Main Character below.

Idiot drives down the wrong side of the road [oc]

This incident happened in Central Los Angeles on the 1800 block of S Hoover St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As you can see in her video, OP turns right from S Bonnie Brae St. onto S Hoover St.

To her left, there’s a long line of cars waiting to turn left.

All of a sudden, a driver in a white ’00s Dodge Ram is headed straight for her, driving on the wrong side of the road.

Idiots normally do this to cut in front of everyone.

Once they pull in front of the first car waiting, what is that car going to do?

Confront the Dodge Ram driver and do what?

When you drive on the wrong side of the road, you’re fully aware you’ll meet other drivers head on.

Oh, but he’s prepared for this and weaves and dodges approaching cars because he’s in a much bigger vehicle.

F*** him, honestly.

Here’s his license plate for search engines to crawl and archive, 8B93234.

And here’s his dumb face. He’s done this before.

Dumb face

Thankfully, OP stops in time to let this maniac do his thing.

It’s always good to have a spare milkshake to toss in their window in this kind of situation,” /u/l3ane jokingly commented.

“I’ve seen this before. He was likely turning left into a business and was too impatient to wait in traffic. There’s a gas station near me and I see this regularly,” /u/Wild-Wonder241 suggested, a likely explanation.

“Some people are just better and deserve more than the rest of us. They don’t have time for your silly rules,” /u/lgodsey sarcastically added.

In the grand scheme of things, the extra few minutes saved driving on the wrong side of the road won’t amount to anything.

At best, wow, you saved five minutes. Do this once a week and wow, you saved a couple of hours a year.

At worst, you get a ticket or get into an accident.

Unfortunately, for some people, they don’t have those critical thinking skills, and it’s ultimately all about them.
