The aggrieved party turned a near miss into a possible misdemeanor.

Texas resident and Redditor /u/Watts300 posted up disturbing dashcam footage from Austin, TX to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the harebrained moment a driver who, to be fair, almost got into an accident because of an aborted lane change, escalated the near miss into a disproportionate amount of road rage.

Here’s the dashcam video below.

[OC] I bet that hurt his hand.

The incident happened in the 12000 block of N FM 620 in Austin, TX (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As you can see in the video, at around 18 seconds, we can see the driver in the white Jeep SUV make a bad lane change without looking properly.

With a Nissan Maxima in their blind spot, they nearly collide with the Nissan.

A Jeep SUV almost collides with a Maxima after a bad lane change.

Fortunately, the Maxima dodges the Jeep and, understandably, the Maxima driver gets upset.

Seeing red, the Maxima driver retaliates and swerves back and forth twice, in a show of aggression, feinting hitting the Jeep.

It escalates further when they both stop as the Maxima driver gets out of his car, approaches the Jeep, and wacks the side of the SUV with his hand.

A Nissan Maxima driver gets out of his car to smack the white SUV.

As the title said, that had to hurt.

The Jeep driver doesn’t return the arguable misdemeanor in kind, and instead drives off.

The Maxima driver returns to his car, ending the confrontation.

“I’ve had this cam for like six years. This is the most action I’ve captured so far,” /u/Watts300 commented.

“Bro is so heated up he almost loses it a second time after recovering. You can see he’s not an experienced rager tho, pulling behind the car you want to punch, classic rookie mistake,” /u/Mumei451 also commented.

“I’ve heard of lead feet, but a lead left hand is something else. That’s an insanely aggressive person to behind the wheel of anything,” /u/Helpful_Influence830 replied.

It’s easier said than done but, even when you’re almost hit, cooler heads after the fact is always the best bet.

And this dude lives in Texas.

Does he not know everyone’s carrying?

Don’t be like this dude.

Remind yourself that it does not benefit you, at all, to take your revenge in that manner.
