This driver in a Lexus thought it was a good idea to go against traffic, risking a head-on collision.
Los Angeleno and Redditor /u/gigitee shared headshaking dashcam footage taken yesterday (June 12, 2024) from the Del Rey neighborhood in LA to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a doofus driving going against traffic to cut everyone off.
Check out the exemplary display of bad driving below.

The incident happened in the 4400 block of Inglewood Blvd in Los Angeles (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam video shows, OP turns left onto Inglewood Blvd at around 5 PM.
Traffic along Inglewood Blvd is creeping along steadily, but it’s far from being a standstill.
Keen eyes will notice about a half mile away a vehicle weaving, going against traffic.
The driver in a Lexus RX300 comes into view, actively driving the wrong way.
Here we see the rearview of OP’s dashcam, the driver in the Lexus crossover, showing no signs of stopping or trying to get into the right lane.
“Not only was I worried about myself and my son in the car, but my wife and other son were in the car right behind me. Luckily, we were able to avoid a collision,” OP commented.
“She looked me in the eye as she passed me. She was expressionless.”
“So much craziness happens on this section of Inglewood and right in front of that station. There is never a cop around, nor do they seem to care to do anything about it.”
According to Shouse Law, in California, driving on the wrong side of the road where no one his hurt or injured is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $1,000 and/or no more than one year in jail.
If someone was hurt or injured, “a violation of 21651 (b) may result in a maximum jail sentence of three years.”
