He was “literally singing about the danger, then it happens.”

Presumed Virginian and Redditor /u/Dr_Shark posted up serendipitous dashcam footage from earlier this July (July 13, 2024) showing the coincidental moment a driver changed lanes suddenly from an adjacent lane just as /u/Dr_Shark filmed himself parodying Shaina Twain’s “Man, I Feel Like A Woman” changing the song to about driving too fast next to a line of cars slowing down.

Coincidence? We’ll let you decide with the dashcam footage below.

[OC] Literally singing about the danger, then it happens.

The coincidence happened on a stretch of Gordon Blvd in Woodbridge, VA just before Devils Reach Rd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As his dashcam footage shows, he and his passenger are headed to 7-11 for some Slurpees.

Suddenly, OP breaks into song, singing a parody about the dangers of driving too fast around slowing traffic to the tune of “Man, I feel like a woman.”

🎵🎵”[inaudible] me crazy. Long [inaudible,] short skirts. Wo-oh-oh…Wo-oh-oh…going to 7″ 🎵🎵

🎵🎵”7-Eleve…Slurpidity Derp…Wo-oh-oh…Stanley is thirsty. Wo-oh-oh…You gotta slow down, SJ listen up when one lane is slow. You gotta slow down to be cut beat below the…and cut in the way. Are you serious? Yeah, no. [inaudible???]” 🎵

Then, right on cue, a driver in a, to be fair, signaling Acura TLX suddenly jumps into their lane but, since they were driving at a reasonable speed with the flow of traffic, they were able to swerve out of the way, avoiding a collision.

“Are you serious,” we hear OP say.”

“Are you f***ing serious? Wasn’t even going fast. She really almost f***ed everything up.”

“Good thing your proximity alarm activated,”/u/Panthean humoursly commented.

“It sounds like you’ve been hit by the line changer,” /u/EhliJoe replied.

In drivers education and general safe driving practices, it’s often advised to slow down when approaching a line of cars that are slowing down or stopped.

This helps to maintain a safe flowing distance and, as this situation shows, reduces the risk of rear-end collisions.

As for the flavor of Slurpees they got,

“Coke, piña colada, and some Mountain Dew,” /u/Dr_Shark replied.
