Two Moms dropped off three kids at the same North Augusta Elementary, Middle, and High School. One drove recklessly and one didn’t. Neither gained a sizeable advantage over the other.
North Augusta resident, Mom to three, and Redditor /u/LS-CRX shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier this week (Aug 12, 2024) to the /r/IdiotsInCars showing a Mom dropping off her kids at the three schools as /u/LS-CRX, except, instead of following the rules of the road, she used reckless shortcuts that ultimately gained her no sizeable time advantage.
Check out her dashcam footage below.
[OC] How one lady cut me off three times in one morning.

The incidents all happened in North Augusta, SC, the first incident happening near the intersection of Amherst Dr and Bunting Dr (maps link here, ) the next incident at Paul Knox Elementary (maps link here), and the last incident at the intersection of Curtis Dr. and Knobcone Ave (maps link here.)
As OP’s footage shows, she’s exiting a dropoff line at Hammond Hill Elementary School when we see our antagonist in a black GMC Acadia run a stop sign, almost cutting OP off.
We then see that same Acadia arrive at Paul Knox Elementary school and, instead of following the flow of traffic as laid out by the parking lot lines, she cuts across the parking lot to get in front of OP, gaining no time savings as they drop each of their kids virtually at the same time.
Finally, as they exit Paul Knox Elementary, there’s a sign designating parents to only turn right during school hours.
Our Acadia driver turns left, instead.
Finally, both drivers head towards North Augusta High School and, although the Acadia driver technically drove a shorter distance, they both arrive at the same aforementioned intersection despite the Acadia driver’s “shortcut.”
OP should’ve driven in front of the Acadia but, as previously demonstrated, the Acadia driver goes straight out of turn and cuts off OP, again!
OP honks her horn to call out the Acadia driver.
“Why do you hate stop signs?”
“It’s irritating but so satisfying seeing them barely making any difference after all those stunts,” /u/ArcadeAnarchy commented.
“I would send this to the police. If she did all those things in one trip, it wasn’t an accident. She will do this again and one day she may run over or hit someone,” /u/WUTDARUS suggested.
“I might send a link to the YouTube video of this to the SRO for the elementary school… that’s where she ran the stop sign in front of the officer working as a crossing guard,” OP replied.
This reckless Mom highlights why it’s important to follow traffic rules, especially in school zones where kids’ safety is #1.
Despite her numerous attempts to cut corners and save time, the dashcam footage shows that her actions gained her no advantage.
Instead, she repeatedly endangered others on the road and set a poor example for her children.
It’s a relief to see that these dangerous shortcuts did not result in any immediate accidents.
No shortcut is worth risking safety and lives.
How did you happen to follow the driver at three different schools-or both of them?
I am not the Mom with the dashcam but if you click the video and go to the Reddit thread, she explains she happened to have three kids that all go to the same schools, not entirely uncommon.
