If you have any information about who this driver is, get in touch with Florida Highway Patrol referencing the Reddit thread this was shared from.
Floridian and Redditor /u/EggPlantZoo shared concerning dashcam footage shared to him by another dashcam owner (with permission to post) showing a driver on the Florida Turnpike (FL 91) driving drunk, almost causing several accidents, before rear-ending an innocent driver.
Check out the dashcam footage for yourself below.

The incident started well before the start of this video but the video starts on FL 91 just before Exit 51A onto Sunrise Blvd and continues for a little over a mile (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As /u/EggPlantZoo’s shared dashcam footage shows, they’re driving along FL-91, following a driver in a Nissan Murano driving erratically across the highway.
At this point, the owner of the dashcam had been on the phone with the Florida Highway Patrol for several minutes.
“They were on the phone with FHP giving them step-by-step action trying to get a trooper out there as quickly as possible. This is why the video has no audio. They had called FHP about 10 minutes prior to that and were still on the phone with them,” OP clarifies in the comments.
For the next mile, we see the driver in the Murano come dangerously close to slamming into the highway barriers.
Trying their best to avoid the driver under the influence, several drivers move out of the way.
Unfortunately, one driver is on the receiving end of this drunk driver’s harebrained decisions as we see the Murano slam into the back of a white Honda CR-V, crunching the rear of the Honda’s hatch.
Although it appears both drivers stopped, OP confirmed that the Murano driver “dipped” shortly after, committing a hit-and-run.
“Apparently the driver dipped out after the accident. The film car stayed to help file the report. Unsure if they arrested him or not.”
Presumably, the Florida Highway Patrol is aware of this witness video and may or may not be actively searching for the guilty party.
“Why am I not surprised this happened on the Florida Turnpike,” /u/RubyGTR commented.
“Such a bleak and dystopian-looking video. Concrete and asphalt and cars coming and going to get somewhere. Only takes one to f*** it up for many,” /u/yblames soberingly commented.
“That car pretty much drove itself. “Driver” had very little control,” /u/UnGatito pointed out.
In Florida, first-time DUI offenders are subject to a fine of up to $1000, a 10-day vehicle impoundment/immobilization, and, up to the discretion of the judge, imprisonment for up to six months.
