There’s a yield sign, as plain as day, on this 51 South on-ramp from E Cactus Rd, a sign this Tesla owner ignored.
Phoenix commuter and Redditor /u/CardsFan9996 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last week (Mar 21, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a Cybertruck driver completely ignoring Yield signs merging onto the 51, almost causing their own t-bone incident.
Check out the footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened on a 51 South on-ramp off of E Cactus Rd in Phoenix (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam footage shows, OP is also merging onto the 51 South coming from the other side of E Cactus Rd.
As he enters the on-ramp, traffic coming from the other side must yield indicated by yield signs on either side of that on-ramp lane.
A Cybertruck entering the same on-ramp from the other side disregards both yield signs and drives right on through forcing OP to slow to avoid a T-bone accident.

Thankfully, nothing came of the incident, and both drivers made it out unscathed.
“It will fall apart before the driver gets another chance at crashing it,” the top comment from /u/fiendzone humorously reads.
“He’s just convinced you want to get a good look at his awesome truck since everybody is envious of him,” /u/HobbesNJ sarcastically commented.
“I don’t think anyone in Phoenix knows what a yield sign means… I have gotten flipped off multiple times for honking at people running yield signs as I exit the freeway and merge into the frontage road (freeway exit has right of way) before the intersection lol,” local /u/aduvnak added.
Many people in Arizona drive like Texans, must be the MAGAt connection…biggest offenders:

Any large Kia or Hyundai SUV
Buncha wannabe tRUMPS. May you all get the t-bone you deserve when you drive like the self centered, entitled idiots you act like on the road…you appear to be AFRAID of being considerate of anyone else…darn wussies…

One of the problems I have is the angle you’re at when you reach the Yield sign. If you pull all the way to the yield sign you need to look over your shoulder, in my case out the rear passenger window to see if it’s clear. I make a conscious effort to lay back at a better angle if I see cars are actively entering the freeway.
