This idiot turner was given what’s called the “Wave of Death” by another idiot, almost causing a T-bone accident.

Twin Falls driver and Redditor /u/QueenHillz shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in May (May 31,2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an idiot driver making an unprotected left turn across multiple lanes with traffic still crossing, almost causing their own t-bone accident.

Check out the instance of near-collision caused by the “Wave of Death” in the embedded video below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened on Blue Lakes Blvd/ N 3000 E/ 93 just before the intersection with Falls Ave (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

In the dashcam video, OP is driving along Blue Lakes Blvd when they slot into the left turn lane headed towards the aforementioned intersection.

Traffic in lanes 1 and 2 has come to a complete stop with a large gap, first unbeknownst to OP, between the cars.

Turners coming from the opposite direction are using that gap, opened by other idiots waving them through, to make it into a driveway of a Wendy’s on the other side of the street.

However, with traffic blocking part of their view, it’s unprotected and unsafe to turn through without first yielding to traffic coming through, something they don’t even attempt to do.

OP enters the turn lane hot, at around 30 MPH, and comes up to a turner, almost t-boning them.

Thankfully, both drivers stop, narrowly avoiding what would’ve been one hard hit.

According to OP’s title, the driver (in the wrong in the red Jeep) looked at OP like they were in the wrong.

“I watched a lady get plowed the other day doing this. The person right beside her, going in the opposite direction she was coming from, decided to be nice and stop, and sure enough, the minute she cleared the person that let her through, the car in the next lane t boned her,” /u/TheGingaBread shared.

“Truck driver and red car are the obvious idiots. You are not. But you learn to recognize situations like this (giant gap in the lane next to you), expect this to happen, and slow down a bit more,” /u/TheSmokyBeat suggested.

“Wave of death strikes again. Be predictable rather than being nice,” /u/Krahr91 aptly put it.

In Idaho, improper turns are infractions with violators subject to a fine of up to $100 before all the fees and 3 points on your record.
