This reckless driver made the harebrained decision to potentially cause a multi-vehicle accident, all while speeding.

San Antonio commuter and Redditor /u/yeettetis shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier last month (June 21, 2025) to the /r/RoadCam subreddit showing a reckless driver in a Nissan Pathfinder squeeze through a shrinking gap between OP’s vehicle and a driver directly diagonal to them in the other lane.

Check out the poor display of driving below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened on Exit 19 of the 410 as drivers split between 410 East to FM 1535 towards Military Hwy and Castle Hills, and 410 West to FM 2696 towards Blanco Rd. and Frontage Rd. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As OP’s dashcam shows, she’s driving in Lane #2 of this multi-lane exit at around 70 MPH.

Suddenly, a driver in a silver Nissan Pathfinder comes blazing by them at a speed well over 70, squeezing in front of OP and a driver in a Toyota Avalon directly diagonal to them.

The issue is that the gap between OP and the Avalon was growing smaller, and at highway speeds.

A split second later, and this Pathfinder would’ve caused at least a 3-vehicle accident and, based on their actions, likely would’ve driven off if they didn’t lose control.

“Oh My God.”
“Bada** driver, and you were recording.”
“Dude, that was like need for speed.”

…are the comments you can hear being exclaimed.

Thankfully, nothing came of the incident as the driver in the Pathfinder sped off into the distance.

“Drivers like that always make me hope there is a cop up ahead that sees this s***….but they never are,” one of the top comments from /u/Starkey0417 reads.

“You just know that guy tells everyone, ‘I’m a really good driver,” /u/ThatsMyDogBoyd humoursly added.

“There are some morons that do this all the time for fun, here in NYC and in some other cities too. They call it “swimming” or some nonsense like that. They race their cars by weaving through the traffic and then post it on social media. The police are unable to stop them despite all the evidence they post. It’s infuriating,” /u/Mostly_A_Lurker_Here pointed out.

In Bexar County, an unsafe lane change warrants a violator a fine of up to $240 before all the fees and two points on their driving record. Also, violators can expect a hike in their insurance, too.
