The speed limit sign said 15 MPH. This speed demon had to be going over 3x that.

Madison County commuter and Redditor /u/BabyGates_ shared headshaking dashcam footage from this Oneida backroad from (July 9, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCrs subreddit showing a speed demon crossing a double solid yellow line on this slow speed corner way too fast and getting their comeuppance within seconds.

The incident happened on this County Route 14 road in Oneida, locally known as W Elm St. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam video shows, OP approaches a sharp right when suddenly a driver in a black Chrysler 300 comes flying by at well over 15 MPH and over a double solid yellow line, too.

Their antics did not go unnoticed as an officer in a Dodge Durango interceptor comes flying by after the corner.

The clip ends with OP passing the stop Chrysler as the officer approaches the driver’s side.

“When the curve sign said 15, I thought he was gonna go flying into the field,” the top comment from /u/Klomlor161 reads.

“That cop appears to have taken some time to reach the idiot. I wonder if he did something way before this happened to trigger this response,” /u/Lylac_Krazy wondered.

“The turn signal for coming back over the double yellow is wild lol,” /u/kehbleh pointed out.

Speeding at these speeds in New York nets violators going 10 MPH over the limit but less than 30 MPH over a fine of up to $300 and at least 3 points on their driving record.

Improper passing over double solid yellow lines bags offenders another $150 fine before fees and an additional 3 points on your record.

This speeder will think twice before attempting a high-speed, risky maneuver like that again, hopefully.
