A quick-thinking dashcam owner stopped in time, avoiding t-boning an idiot driver.

Hudson-area driver and Redditor /u/Aliensinnoh shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in December (Dec 15, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a Chevrolet Silverado driver, clearly not thinking, making a U-turn across another lane, almost causing their own t-bone accident.

Check out the hare-brained move below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Circumferential Highway and Lowell Road (NH-3A) (Exact location on Google Maps linked here).

As the dashcam shows, OP is on NH-3A in a turn lane headed onto Circumferential.

Traffic gets the green light to go when, suddenly, a driver in a black Chevrolet Silverado starts to signal despite being in a lane only going straight.

OP slows to let them cut in, thinking they’ll only make a left, but OP quickly finds out this Silverado driver has other plans entirely, to make a whole U-turn across him.

OP doesn’t even get a chance to break because, why would a driver make such an insane move, and thankfully avoids hitting them, barely.

“I slowed down a little bit, thinking he was simply cutting me off to get onto my lane, before realizing dude was actually just cutting all the way across to make a U-Turn instead,” OP clarified in the comments.

“Honestly, this is why I’ve stopped being preemptively nice when I see signs like this. Give the idiots a literal inch, and they’ll take your whole lane,” /u/appa-ate-momo replied.

“That road construction in Hudson has been a nightmare for months,” local /u/ribberMEtribbers added.

This appears to be their full plate, 449 9579.

In New Hampshire, an illegal U‑turn (a moving violation) can result in a traffic ticket and court‑ordered fine, which for similar moving violations typically runs at least around $250–$500. It also goes on your driving record and will lead to demerit points under the state’s point system, which can impact your license and insurance if you accumulate enough.
