This dash cam owner was the only car in the whole row of parking and still got hit. Then, the idiot doubled down and hit-and-run.
Philly-area driver and Redditor /u/KaleidoscopeFew4010 shared extremely frustrating dashcam footage from earlier in the year (June 6, 2025) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver backing into his bumper and, when confronted, had the nerve to turn it into a hit-and-run, flipping the story entirely.
Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
[OC] Im the only car in this whole row of parking and still get hit 🤦
byu/KaleidoscopeFew4010 inIdiotsInCars
The incident happened near the Temple University Boathouse off of Kelly Dr (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is parked in reverse facing the Schuykill River.
According to his description, he’s the only car in his row; there are no cars to the left or right of him.
With his dashcam running, a driver in a Nissan Rogue (Plate KDM 4190) starts backing up towards him.

Like a comedy movie, the driver seemed to aim for OP’s front bumper.
Of course, *BAM* she hits his car and, instead of doing the responsible thing by stopping to trade information, she runs, turning this into a hit-and-run.
It’s implied OP chased and eventually caught up to them.
“She ended up taking off on me and then tried to make it seem like it was my fault somehow and refused to share her information.”
Thankfully, emergency services essentially told her to knock it off.
“We were both on the phone with different operators, and they basically just told her to give me the info, and she finally ended up giving it to me after like 10 mins of pointless arguing.”
When asked to elaborate on how she tried to blame him, OP replied that,
“…I asked her why she took off when I finally caught up to her and she said she left because i didnt get out of the car immediately and kept arguing that, then she said she didnt come up to my window cuz of my “tinted windows”, Then she just started insulting me saying im “just one of those petty young boys” and insisting I was overreacting because i was trying to get her to share the info…overall she was trying her hardest to just avoid accountability. I also overheard her tell the 911 operator that I hit her when she called.”
While the following probably won’t apply to her, given that the police didn’t show up, here’s what she could’ve been charged with.
In Philadelphia (under Pennsylvania law), a hit‑and‑run can carry fines from a few hundred dollars up to $2,500+, jail from 90 days to several years, and 4+ points on your license, with much harsher penalties if someone is injured or killed. Even minor property damage incidents can lead to serious legal and insurance consequences (AutoInsurance.com).
