Supposedly, a tech or car porter from the Auto Row on 38 can’t seem to read or refuses to acknowledge the right on red sign.

The wife of Redditor /u/Silent_Bob, a driver in the Burlington County area, captured this head-shaking rearview dashcam footage on March 25, 2026, and shared it with her husband, who then posted it to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing either a car porter or tech from the Auto Row on 38 overtaking her and making a right on red where it’s explicitly prohibitied.

Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of US-206 and Monmouth Rd. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP’s wife is pointed southbound on US-206, ready to turn right onto W Monmouth Rd.

An impatient driver in a black Volkswagen behind OP’s wife can be seen looking over his shoulder, swinging left, and overtaking OP’s wife to make a right on red despite it being an illegal manuver here (see sign below.)

Right on red sign at this intersection.

“It says no turn on red you…cool…cool,” OP’s wife can be heard saying as this doofus, clearly in a rush, pulls their super cool move.

“That guy is a porter or tech for one of the dealerships in the Autorow on 38. Those clowns are notorious for being shi**y drivers,” local /u/SaintOrJannickSinner shared.

“Yeah saw the dealer tag (with no front plate) and assumed as much,” OP replied.

“Simple misunderstanding. You see, they did all of the turning before the red, so basically they were driving straight at that point. /s,” /u/deeteeohbee sarcastically added.

In Mount Holly, New Jersey, making a right on red where it’s prohibited is a traffic violation. The base fine is about $52, but with court costs and fees, it typically comes out closer to $85–$100 total. It usually adds 2 points to your driving record.
