This driver can’t seem to get enough of running this right-on-red at this particular Richmond intersection.
Richmond-area driver and Redditor /u/Prestigious-Risk804 shared headshaking dashcam footage from this particular t-intersection from earlier at the end of March (Mar 31, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing the same driver in the same car running a red light for no particularly good reason.
Check out the first time it happened on the 24th and then again on the 31st below, with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incidents both happened at the intersection of Westower Dr N and Forest Hill Ave. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows both times, a driver in a Dodge Challenger with license plate TCL 2053 comes up to the T-intersection, and instead of waiting for the light to turn green to make their turn, the Challenger opts to first drive into opposing traffic and cut in front of traffic patiently waiting, effectively running the red light.

“Since there’s 2 videos of the same car now, I’d let the cops know about this. Not saying they will do anything about it or can but at least this car will be on their radar now,” one of the top comments from /u/anothadaz reads.
“They won’t do anything, nor can they. A police officer has to witness a traffic violation to write a ticket, at least that’s the case in Virginia,” OP replied.
“I can’t wait for them to do this in front of an unmarked police car and get their license suspended or revoked. They obviously do not care about anyone’s safety,” /u/bunnyman14 hoped.
In Virginia, running a red light is a traffic infraction that typically carries a fine of about $100–$125 plus court costs. It also adds 4 demerit points to your driving record. Repeated violations can lead to higher insurance rates and, if points add up, possible license suspension.
