Three drivers ran a red light, one after another, before crossing the River St Bridge, and all were likely cited.

Boston-area driver and Redditor /u/Wiseupybuckejitt shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier this May (May 9, 2026) to the /r/ConvenientCop subreddit showing three brazen red light runners all running a red light as they entered the River St. Bridge, with one of them running it right after seeing a cop light the first two up.

Check out their bold but failed attempt at saving a couple of seconds below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident happened at the intersection of Cambridge St. and Soldiers Field Rd as drivers crossed onto the River Street Bridge (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP and other drivers are headed northbound, ready to turn onto the River Street Bridge or head straight.

Suddenly, their light turns green, indicating that cross traffic has already had red for at least a beat.

A driver in a Cadillac and a Ford F-150 clearly run a red with an MA State police officer in their interceptor watching it all play out.

He puts on his reds and blues, too, at least, pulls both over.

And this driver in a silver Camry has the gall to follow the police officer, running a red, too.

A third driver in a Camry, shortly after following two red light runners and seeing them pulled over, decides to run the red, too.

“THREE. The audacity of the third one!,” the top comment from /u/musikfreakster reads.

“I guarantee that the cop stopped and signaled the 3rd car to move to the shoulder, too. Happens a lot here,” /u/BdoeATX added.

“If 1 car decides to not pull over, guess what? The other 2 go free, and the cop chases the runner.”

“Boston idiots is redundant when behind the wheel,” local /u/DanielBG humorously added.

In Massachusetts, running a red light is typically a civil traffic violation carrying a fine of about $100 to $150, depending on fees and the specific citation. It can also add a surchargeable event to your driving record, which may increase insurance rates. Massachusetts does not use a DMV-style point system like some states, but repeated violations can still affect your license status and insurance.
