This woman in her stock Chevrolet Silverado says she couldn’t see this dashcam owner…except they were right there.
River Oaks-area driver and Redditor /u/Carlost289 shared shocking dashcam footage from this quiet Fort Worth suburb intersection from earlier in January (Jan 26, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an absolutely unhinged woman driver in her completely stock Chevrolet Silverado turning onto Black Oak lane and driving into and accelerating through this dashcam owner despite being stopped, in plain view of the offending driver.
Check out the dashcam footage embedded below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened in River Oaks at the intersection of Black Oak Lane and Sam Calloway Rd (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is on Sam Calloway,rolling-stopping his way towards a turn onto Black Oak Lane.
Suddenly, a driver in a silver Chevrolet Silverado turning from Black Oak Lane slams into OP, head-on, like they’re not even there.
Seeing that the Silverado was headed in his general direction, OP even hugs the curb on his way, turning to give the Silverado as much room as possible.
OP was obviously in that driver’s blind spot, likely blocked by the truck’s A-pillar, not to mention, trucks, even stock ones, have poor forward visibility.
To make matters worse, OP says the driver accelerated forward, as if she hit a speed bump and was simply driving over something.
“What’s funny is she kept trying to rev the engine after impact. Can’t really hear it in the clip though,” OP clarifies in the comments.
OP doesn’t mention being injured so, thankfully it was just a accident between two vehicles and nothing more beyond body damage (albeit thousands in damage.)
“She said she didn’t see us.”
“It’s almost like those towering behemoth trucks are way too big to allow drivers to safely see their surroundings,” one of the top comments from /u/Stigma_Wizards reads.
“But hey. At least they’re using all that bed space to haul stuff around, right?…..right?”
In Fort Worth, Texas, causing a crash while turning due to failure to yield or improper lookout is typically treated as a moving violation and can carry around 2–3 points on your Texas driving record depending on how the citation is written. Fines can vary by court, but commonly range from about $200 to $500+, plus additional court costs and fees. If the situation is more serious (like alleged reckless driving or injury involved), penalties and insurance impact can increase significantly.
