3 drivers were not paying attention, went at the same time, and nearly collided.

Clark County-area driver and Redditor /u/SentientPaint shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in May (May 19, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing 4 drivers arriving at the Banburry Cross and Crestdale 4-way stop around the same time and, instead of taking turns as the rules of the road dictate, 3 of them went at the same time, almost colliding with each other.

Check out the near miss below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

As mentioned, the incident happened at the intersection of Banburry Cross Dr. and Crestdale Ln (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is headed southbound down Crestdale when he arrives at an intersection at the same time as another driver facing him and to his right.

The driver facing him goes first, at which point, another driver comes to a stop to OP’s left.

OP and the driver to his right are not sure who’s going to go next. OP inches forward, prompting the driver to his right to go first.

However, the driver to OP’s left and another driver who was behind the driver that went first, opposite OP, goes too.

3 drivers go at the same time.

By dumb luck, they all manage to avoid hitting each other.

It’s pure chaos.

“Imo, if it’s two two-lane roads intersecting, a four-way stop is fine. If it’s an intersection that is large enough to justify dedicated turn lanes, etc., then it absolutely needs a traffic light otherwise, you end up with a bunch of cars who can’t agree on who’s turn it is to go,” the top comment from /u/GABE_EDD reads.

“It’s close, but it does look a bit to me like you are still rolling as the vehicle to the right comes to a stop. So I think they are okay, since stopping at approximately the same time triggers yield to right,” /u/blakeh95 pointed out.

“Everything after that comes from the red truck trying to make a left turn in somehow the worst way possible.”

“I was more than happy to sit back and wait my turn. And then the truck made its move,” OP replied.

In Nevada, running or improperly handling a 4-way stop is typically treated as “disobeying a stop sign,” which carries 4 demerit points on your license. Fines vary by county and court, but are commonly around $150–$400 after fees. (dmv.nv.gov)
