This driver in a Lincoln Navigator can be seen pulling out a gun and pointing it in the general direction of the dashcam owner for no good reason.
Suffolk-area driver and Redditor /u/Epifrank shared a headscratcher of a dashcam video to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit from earlier this year (January 3, 2026), to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a driver in their Lincoln Navigator brandishing his gun at him for apparently no good reason.
Check out the dashcam video sent to local police below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened along Commercial Ln, and then Corporate Ln in Suffolk (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP exits the parking lot to Bojangles/ Taco Bell, comes to a stop at the intersection with Corporate Ln, and then turns left.
A driver in a silver Lincoln Navigator with the right of way makes a U-turn on Cororate Ln before OP.
Something happened at this point which upset the driver in the Navigator enough to brandish a gun, perhaps OP went a little too quickly after stopping, and this Navigator driver took offense to that?
“My 4 y.o. and I were leaving T. Bell, and I guess this maniac did not appreciate us driving in his general vicinity,” OP clarified in the comments.
OP zooms in on what the driver does, and we can clearly see a gun pointed out of his driver’s side window.

OP captioned the end of the video that he reported the incident to local Suffolk PD, providing all the relevant information and presumably the video, too.
“They called back about 2 months later to say that the car was registered to a woman in a different state (NC, I live semi-near the southern VA border). NC police went to the home, and nobody was there, but the car with the same tags was there. I was told that they couldn’t do anything about it and closed the case :/,” OP further explained.
“Dude was probably methed out of his mind and thought you were opps,” the top comment from /u/alyosha_pls reads.
“I hope the Bojangles was tasty at least,” /u/Hyunch humorsly added.
In Suffolk County, brandishing a weapon is typically charged under Virginia’s brandishing law (Class 1 misdemeanor), which can carry up to 12 months in jail and a fine up to $2,500, plus possible court costs and suspension consequences depending on the case.(FindLaw)
Virginia generally does not assign DMV points specifically for brandishing itself, since points are tied to driving offenses, but a conviction can still indirectly affect your record and background checks.
