This Honda driver thought it was wise to stop in the middle of this Lake Sammamish Center intersection and earned a damaged fender thanks to another Ford Pickup driver with their own hare-brained manuever.
King County-area driver and Redditor /u/Koensayr_II shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in July (July 6, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a bizarre collision that took place between this Honda Ridgeline and Ford F-250 at this Sammamish Center intersection.
As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped in the right lane, ready to cross the throughfare, headed north on SE 62nd St towards the entrance to the Sammamish Center on the intersection with E Lake Sammamish Pkwy.
Blocking his path is a driver in a white Honda Ridgline, stopped, waiting for traffic in the left turn lane up ahead, the lane they want to drive into, to clear so they can slot in.
The problem is they’re now blocking traffic.
A driver in a white Ford F-250 in the left lane comes barralleling through, comes up to the Honda Ridgeline and attempts to squeeze by.
Then, for some odd reason, the Ridgeline owner scoots up, lining themselves up for a collision, which actually happens.
The driver in the Ford F-250 rams into the front driver’s corner of the Honda Ridgeline which, I don’t think the Ridgeline driver even realized they got hit.

In Issaquah, blocking a thoroughfare unnecessarily could be cited under Washington’s stopping/standing/parking restrictions if the vehicle was obstructing traffic. The fine depends on the exact infraction, but it is generally a civil traffic/parking infraction with no driver’s license points for a parking-related violation; Washington law prohibits stopping where it obstructs traffic unless necessary. In Washington State, hit-and-run involving property damage is a gross misdemeanor punishable by up to 364 days in jail and/or a fine up to $5,000.
