This lady off the 33 didn’t check her blind spot or use her turn signal, almost causing a crash as a result.

Union County-area driver and Redditor /u/GoldleyGod shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in July (July 29, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a lady with her head in the clouds, coming off the 33, blindly changing lanes without a hint of signaling, and almost crashing.

Check out the dashcam footage below with the original Reddit thread linked here.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Avery-Murfield Dr. and Dublin Methodist Ln. (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)

As the dashcam shows, OP is driving along Avery-Murfield Dr. in the leftmost lane towards the aforementioned intersection.

As he passes the off-ramp to the 33, a driver in a white Honda CR-V can be seen merging onto Avery-Murfield in their dedicated acceleration lane but immediatly heads into OP’s lane.

Yup, they made a lane change sans signaling.

OP swerves out of the way to avoid what would’ve been one costly sideswipe accident, giving the head-in-the-clouds driver a long and drawn-out honk.

“What the f*** are you doing?” OP exclaims.

“Literally has her own protected lane to pull into, pulls into yours for no reason at all, absolutely wild,” one of the top comments from /u/FunkyAvocado reads.

“Happens relatively frequently. Always make sure the left lane is clear when driving through here, or slow way down,” OP replied.

“I like how she passed you at the end there, like she didn’t even realize that it was a close call or she made a mistake,” /u/TheRealPitabred added.

“Swear she didn’t even look in my direction. Best part is she continued on in the lane she was supposed to stay in, as if she popped out just to spike my adrenaline,” OP also replied.

In Dublin, Ohio, an improper lane change/failure to signal can be cited under Ohio’s lane-change or turn-signal laws and is generally a minor misdemeanor; the maximum fine for a minor misdemeanor is typically up to $150, though court costs may be added. (Ohio Laws)

A failure-to-signal lane change is generally 0 BMV points in Ohio, but if the maneuver is considered unsafe (for example, causing another driver to brake hard or nearly crash), additional charges could potentially apply depending on the circumstances. (bmv.ohio.gov)
