A line of drivers was stopped on Crimson Sky Dr. to facilitate street painting, but this Altima driver was too important for that. Thankfully, this flagger did their job.
Douglas County driver and Redditor /u/FilmScoreConnoisseur shared a headshaking dashcam vid from earlier in July (July 28, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing an impatient driver trying to cut a line of stopped traffic for no good reason. And when confronted by the powers that be, they surprisingly got back in line.

The incident happened along Crimson Sky Dr. in Castle Rock, CO (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is stopped, pointed east on Crimson Sky.
A road crew has a flagger to stop traffic to facilitate road line painting better.
Suddenly, a driver in a Nissan Altima appears on the left, who clearly just went around a double solid yellow line to bypass traffic.
Thankfully, a dedicated flagger puts out his stop sign, gets the driver’s attention, and manages to stop them.

The driver gets the hint and does the reverse of shame.
“I’m surprised they actually stopped,” the top comment from /u/FewACanthcephala828 reads.
“Passing over double yellow around a line of stopped cars. Wow. There could have been several important reasons the line of cars was stopped,” /u/pfren2 pointed out.
“I hope there was a string of inventive language directed at the self-important S*B. I also hope they had to back a long way down a line of cars,” /u/MagicToolBox hoped.
In Colorado, illegally crossing a double solid yellow line to pass or overtake another vehicle is generally a 4-point traffic violation on your driving record.
