This dashcam owner left a space for a box truck to maneuver, and this doofus somehow took offense to that.
Arapahoe County-area driver and Redditor /u/Featherfoot77 shared headshaking dashcam footage from earlier in August (Aug 26, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit showing a peeved-off driver in their GMC Yukon resorting to petty road rage, cutting this dashcam owner off at a light, after taking offense to them leaving a huge gap when coming to a stop at an intersection.
Check out how it all went down below with the original Reddit thread linked here.
The incident happened at the intersection of S Reservoir Rd. and S Ceylon Way in Aurora (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is headed northbound on Reservoir towards Hampden Ave.
OP clarifies that, as he comes to a gradual stop at the intersection, he leaves a space for a box truck to make a sudden maneuver.
“… the (box)truck on my right was basically on top of the dashed line. I wanted to give them a little extra space in case they swung wide for some reason. I’ve seen people do that before.”
While slowly creeping towards the limit line, a driver in a white GMC Yukon, seeing OP suddenly slow in front of him, takes it as a jab at him.
The Yukon driver suddenly, and for no good reason, cuts him off, going over the limit and technically running a red light.
” Didn’t figure someone would take it so personally, but I guess they did.”
“I swear some f***ers actually have an inferiority complex with driving. Like, being in “front” is that big of a deal for some of these jokers? I had a situation the other day where I happened to be in front of someone in the lane, and he drove past me to flip me off… For no reason? XD,” /u/PUNCH-WAS-SERVED shared.
“Do**** move by that white SUV,” /u/shiggity80 added.
“It was easy to see that the Truck was really close or slightly in OP’s lane. I don’t blame OP for not pulling up right next to the truck.”
“OP could have pulled up a bit quicker after the truck made a right turn, but none of that gives the SUV any right to do what they did.”
In Aurora, crossing the limit line at a red light to cut off another driver would generally be cited as disobeying a traffic-control device under Colorado law, typically a $65 fine plus a $16 surcharge and 4 points. If the maneuver was considered reckless or otherwise more serious, a different citation could apply with different penalties.
