A dashcam owner with the right of way, turning into a Fort Mason Parking Lot, was almost cut off by an ignorant driver who tried to steal their right-of-way.
Bay Area driver and Redditor /u/BigSandwich6 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from San Francisco from earlier last week (Sept 10, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing an ignorant driver trying to steal OP’s right-of-way and, on top of that, had the nerve to honk at them for waiting for pedestrians to cross.

The incident happened near the intersection of Marina Blvd. and Laguna St. right across from Safeway (exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is turning a Fort Mason Center parking lot.
He’s facing a green light but is allowing pedestrians with the right of way and facing a walk sign to complete their crossing.
Suddenly, a driver, who was waiting to turn left but facing a solid green, which means they must yield to cross traffic first, and also headed into the same lot, attempts to cut OP off.
However, OP takes his rightful right-of-way and turns just after the last pedestrian crosses.
This doesn’t stop the blocked turner from honking, somehow upset that OP had the nerve to wait for said pedestrians.
And this wasn’t even the first time that happened, as his title says, “Twice today I was honked at for letting pedestrians cross.”
“The same idiots will blow by cars stopped at a crosswalk that are letting a pedestrian cross,” one of the top comments from /u/UpBeatFix7299 reads.
“I used to know two people who are no longer here because cars didn’t look for them. Thank you for being a safe driver,” /u/PaisleyLeopard poignantly added.
“Some people are just so impatient. I have been honked at multiple times for stopping for an ambulance going through the intersection,” /u/ima-rage-quit shared.
