This student driver should’ve known better than to swing super wide onto Foothill without a hint of yielding.
Placer County-area driver and Redditor /u/w11 shared head-shaking dashcam footage from earlier in September (Sept. 16, 2026) to the /r/IdiotsInCars subreddit, showing a student driver almost finding out, in real time, the consequences of not yielding properly.

The incident happened in the 4000 block of Foothills Blvd as this driver exited the local Brickyard Shopping Plaza (Exact location on Google Maps linked here.)
As the dashcam shows, OP is driving northbound along Foothills towards Junction in the rightmost lane.
Suddenly, a driver exiting the driveway next to Foothills Donuts can be seen turning left, aimed towards the same lane OP is in.
They, in fact, don’t properly yield, blindly swinging wide onto Foothills.
Thankfully, OP brakes in time, avoiding what would’ve been a costly sideswipe accident.
Stickers saying they’re a Student Driver can be seen on the sides and trunk lid.
