Mascots are a great way to drum up some excitement at your booth and Chrysler definitely had the right idea with this dancing bear at their LA Auto Show booth.

How do you drum up some attention for one of your best selling vehicles at the LA Auto Show? Well, if you’re Chrysler, you pay a man to get into a bear suit and dance like his life depended on it. According to CNET Roadshow in a very amusing video they shared on twitter earlier today (Nov. 29,2017) this Autoshow attendee was definitely enjoying himself as he danced his worries away with Chrysler’s bear. Check out the funny little video below as well as one I spotted on Instagram.

First, let’s talk about how well the Chrysler Pacifica has been selling lately. A cursory glance at Car and Driver’s rankings of the Pacifica in comparison the two other juggernauts, Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna, and C&D have ranked it higher than both. That’s a big deal. The sales numbers seem to confirm that as well with the Pacifica within spitting distance of the Odyssey and Sienna this year, all three selling somewhere between 93,000-94,000 units. So yes, Chrysler has something to celebrate with their jovial auto show bear.

Then there’s this video which shows a much better shot of the bear doing its thing. Keep in mind that doors haven’t officially opened to the LA Auto Show, so this bear’s got a couple more days of dancing, and we’ve yet to see his best moves assuming he’s saving moves for the troves of families making their way through. Doors open Friday on the 1st with the show ending 10 days later.

this was my day! #chryslerpacifica #hybrid #LAAutoShow #CaliforniaStateBear #dancing
