Sure we know how much power the Dodge Demon makes at the crank but how much actually makes it down to the wheels? Know we know.

The Dodge Demon makes for one impressive machine, at least on paper, with its claim of 840 HP and 770 lb-ft on race gas. According to A2Speed based out of Martinsville, Virginia and their youtube video they uploaded earlier today (Dec. 20, 2017) we have a short and sweet dyno run that answers the question of just how much rear wheel horsepower this demon actually lays down on the street. And to make things easier, they’ve filled the gas tank with good ol’ 93 octane to make the power numbers just that much more believable. Check out the dyno run below!

According to their official numbers, their shop Dodge Demon put down an impressive 724 WHP and 681 lb-ft which is downright impressive if you ask me. At the crank, Dodge claims that the Demon makes 808 HP and 717 lb-ft so these numbers would account for around a 10 percent loss of power through the drivetrain.

On their facebook post, it looks like they were maxing out the Demon.

This run was done in full drag mode with the chiller system on etc.

The run video itself showcases just how the torque has an effect on the body. Because the Dodge Demon makes so much torque and pretty much makes most of its power throughout the rev range, the front end visibly lifts up. Being that this is a factory drag car, I’m sure Dodge engineers made sure that this won’t be too much of an issue on customer cars when they take it down the drag strip.

A2Speed assures us that this dyno run is just the beginning and that there’ll be a higher powered dyno run on 100-octane race fuel in the near future. Presumably, they’re going to tune and tweak a bit more power (if not gobs of power) out of this 6.2L V8, not to mention the 2.7L supercharger slapped on top of it.

I can’t wait to see just how much power they can wring out of this amazing piece of engineering.
