If your bike was burned in a fire, you’d think it’s pretty much done for. Not for this rider.

This is the definition of literally giving zero f***s when it comes to motorcycles. According to our brave and ever faithful reporter up on Mulholland Drive and his Instagram post from earlier yesterday (Jan. 16,2018) this Yamaha R6 suffered extensive fire damage from a recent California fire. Not only is it still running, the owner is ballsy enough to ride this burnt bike to the top of one of California’s twistiest roads and let it all hang out like a boss. Check out the amazing walkaround video of the bike below.

Details are little to none on the official story of what happened to this Yamaha R6, but from what we can gather, the owner’s house and his beloved crotch rocket suffered a major fire. California has been going through an epic weather cycle which has seen thousands of acres destroyed by fire along with hundreds of homes being demolished. Presumably, this motorcyclist was among those victims.

In the video, we can see major damage to the front fairing, the fuel tank, most of the top half of the bike and fire scorching some of the side panels. It’s sketch. RNickeymouse does leave some comments that, at the very least, the seat was obviously replaced and this owner slapped on a salvage title on it so he can ride it without being pulled over.

One thing’s for sure, there is no other motorcycle in the world with this kind of patina. It’s pretty badass if you ask me.

Some commenters are skeptical as to the validity of this burned bike saying that some major mechanical parts suffering the same kind of heat would’ve rendered this bike inoperable. But who knows, perhaps the owner replaced the most vital parts to ensure his own personal safety.

If this bike is in tip top shape otherwise, I do hope that he keeps it the way it is. This bike has some gnarly scars and a story to tell. It’d be a shame to see it repainted.
