It’s seriously embarrassing, BMW and Porsche, but you just got taken to school by a Kia Stinger GT.
The 2018 Kia Stinger GT is on American shores sitting in Kia dealerships across the country and soon everyone will find out just how good this Korean super sedan is. Just to remind us how much above it’s weight class this Korean bruiser punches up, Kia dropped the most savage ad earlier yesterday (Jan. 18, 2018) that pretty much takes a giant s***t on Porsche and BMW. Kia let loose its Stinger GT against the BMW 640i Gran Coupe M Sport and the Porsche 3.0L Panamera V6 and let it do it’s business. What comes next is a beatdown of epic proportions. We’ll let the video speak for itself or read on to find out just how bad a beating it was.
AMCI Testing independently certified four tests, a 0-60 run, cornering test for g-forces, a slalom, and a closed-course hot lap. Let’s get to the data.
First off, there’s the tale of the tape,
This one’s a no-brainer. The Kia is half the price of the other two, but are the other two worth twice the price compared to a lowly Kia?

For the blast to 60 MPH,

- Porsche Panamera 5.14 secs
- BMW 640i Gran Coupe M Sport 5.18 secs
Next came the cornering run which measured max g-force. It was pretty much identical G-forces for all three.

Then came the slalom run to see which car could maintain a faster speed through a set of quick right and left turns through some cones. It was a virtual tie between Kia and Porsche but straight up a turtle’s crawl for the BMW.

Finally, there was the small closed course run which reveals all the flaws of every car. Yup, Kia is king. BMW, you can pretty much go home at this point.
