It’s probably not for sale anymore but what you’re looking at is one of the rarest aftermarket pieces for the Honda S2000.

It doesn’t get any rarer than this. According to North American J’s Racing representative Danyelle Holt, this pre-production carbon fiber gauge cluster/dash surround WAS for sale earlier last week. But, looking through the comments on that particular Instagram post, its probably found a home with a new owner already. Check out the beautiful gauge cluster for yourself below!

While this might look like an ordinary and unassuming piece of carbon fiber, literally a direct replacement for the gauge cluster on a Honda S2000, it’s a tad bit more than that. As per @MsJsRacing’s post above, this isn’t even a production item with only six test pieces ever made. Out of those six, only this one is for sale, which makes it one of one.

Someone commented that they already bought three, but seeing how rare this piece is, I’ll see it when I believe it.

Sure, there are other carbon fiber gauge clusters out there. I found one on sale for $800 here and at one point you could get one for less than $100 on S2Ki.com but it won’t be a J’s racing carbon fiber gauge cluster.

Besides Spoon Sports, Mugen, and a handful of other small tuning shops out of Japan, few have actively raced S2000’s and developed products for the S2K quite like J’s Racing. Just check out their time attack S2000 below. It’s something special to see and behold.

Owning rare J’s racing parts for your Honda S2000 will not only set you apart from other builds, it’s honoring and supporting authentic aftermarket parts which these Japanese companies rely on.

Just look at the quality of the carbon fiber you’re getting. The CF finish is that high-quality matte finish without that cheap and glossy clear-coated carbon fiber. Like most aftermarket parts coming out of these small shops, it’s OEM quality. It’s a jewel of a piece to have in your S2000.

So, if you can’t buy this rare piece, just gawk at it for a couple of seconds like I did. Then hit up @MsJsRacing on Instagram. Maybe the buyer who scooped this one up backed out.
