King Motorsports has a Honda Beat with a full Cozy Lights aero kit and they shared some photos of this beauty. I’m proclaiming this the best looking Honda Beat in the world, don’t @ me.

King Motorsports Unlimited, the North American base for all things Mugen coming into the United States, acquired two Honda Beats earlier this year, one of them rare and one of them even rarer. As per King Motorsports in an Instagram post they shared earlier this week (Oct. 10, 2018) this is their Cozy Lights CLR Honda Beat, a kei-car equipped with an aero kit I’ve never heard before. Not only that, the aero kit really brings out the subtle lines in this Honda Beat making it the best looking Honda Beat I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Check out their post below.

Like most things JDM aero, my American mind has never heard of Cozy Lights.

One can only imagine how many more independent aero shops exist in Japan that we’ve never heard of, but that’s beside the point.

The Honda Beat, in and of itself, is an oddity on American shores. Only now that the 25-year import law for these small kei cars no longer applies to them, are we seeing them hit our shores. As such, it’s like we’re seeing these small 660cc powered cars for the first time.

Although I’m a fan of the Honda Beat in general, its front end is rather pedestrian looking, inoffensive and quintessentially Golden era Honda utilitarian. 60 percent function with 40 percent style by Honda.

That being said, this is a goldmine for aftermarket aero companies to come in and rectify the situation. Enter this small company like Cozy Lights which specializes in Kei car aero. Besides the Beat, they mark parts for the new Honda S660 and the Suzuki Cappucino, both stalwarts to the Kei car movement in Japan.

Most notable to their Honda Beat lineup of parts is their full aero kit which you can order a la carte, but looks its best when ordered together. It includes a front and rear bumper, side skirts, and a wide air intake extension on the side since the engine’s shoehorned in the back for an MR handling experience and better for smaller cars.

What results is what you see before you, a Honda Beat that’s much cleaner looking and very JDM.

I love it.
