Sleeker, more efficient, and with captivating design, this is the 2019 Mazda3 before its official debut.
The Mazda3 is slated to debut later this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show but it looks like GearPatrol jumped the gun a tad earlier and blessed the internet with these images showing the 2019 Mazda3 hatchback and sedan in all its glory.

Mazda took its Kodo design from the prototype it showed off at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show and further refined that design ethos in what we see today in the new Mazda3 sedan and hatchback, both sleek and refined offerings in a class that celebrates bold design even with a sub-$20,000 MSRP.
The front end of the Mazda3 carries the same design language, now, as the rest of its lineup with a very Miata-like front end. Headlights are thinner and slimmer than ever, a large front grille remains and the bottom front bumper is cleaned up considerably.
Looking at the sedan in profile, gone is the side crease of 2018 which disappears for a cleaner, more recessed look befitting to a clean design.
Outback, for the sedan, the rear is much more defined, sculpted, and premium looking for its class. A reverse image search brought up the Alfa Romeo Giulia as a related image, how flattering from a search engine.
For the hatch, the Mazda3 trades its trunk for a sleek and compact hatch that increases utility while looking just as sleek as the sedan.
Under the hood is quite the shocker as there are four engines available, three gas Skyactiv-X engines in 1.5L , 2.0L, and 2.5L offerings and even a 1.8L diesel engine which is not confirmed as of this writing but is quite the surprise nonetheless.
Pricing has not been announced but expect a sub $18,000 MSRP for the base Mazda3 sedan with 1.5L SkyActivX engine.
