The Million Mile Lexus is going to turn over One million miles very soon and this is what’s going to happen to it shortly after.

What do you do with a car that turns over one million miles? Well, according to Matt Farah, the owner of the famous Million Mile Lexus, you let your buddy and famous Youtuber Freddy Hernandez a.k.a. @Tavarish slap on twin-turbos on the 1UZ for either a brilliant but short-lived boosted life or an uneventful increase in horsepower that’ll burn through rear tires as reliably as it drove before. Don’t take my word for it, it looks like Matt already had his mind set on this type of sendoff as per this Tweet I came across earlier this month (Dec. 11,2018.)

If you’ve been following along on the #MillionMileLexus and its journey, you’ll know that it started its infamous journey all the way back in 2014 where it’s exchanged hands multiple times through literally dozens of custodians, driving the car several thousand miles at a time.

Last month I wrote about the current custodians who, according to their latest update, have less than 2,000 miles to drive before this Lexus hits 1 million miles.

And if you do some rough and ready maths in your head, you’ll figure that it takes about three weeks for them to put on 1,000 miles so we can expect this changeover to @TheRealTavarish to happen sometime in mid-January.

Matt Farah himself will drive the millionth mile.

I’m going to meet him (@TheSmokingTire) in Atlanta at 999,500 then he’s going to hit the Million on the way to give it to @therealtavarish

There’s also a slight possibility that @Tavarish will 2JZ swap it according to this tweet from three years ago.

A theory I have is that @TheSmokingTire is low-key trying to get the attention of Lexus because if I was Lexus, I would want to examine the internals of this 1UZ-FE, arguably the most important engine in Lexus’s history, to see how well it’s held up, before @Tavarish gets his hands on it.

Just think of the sweet PR they’d get.
