This McLaren 720S is a total writeoff thanks to some foolish driving.

Shocking footage emerged earlier today from Los Angeles. According to Instagram user @Epikproductions and several other eye-witnesses, a purple McLaren 720S alleged wrecked into a pole after colliding with a Kia Forte Hatch. The collision occurred during the PML Quick Strike Toy drive, an annual toy drive/car meet with “free admission” as long as you bring something to donate.

Check out a small collision video below as well as a photo of the closeup.

A quick search on Google Maps reveals the collision happened at the intersection of South La Cienga Blvd. and Sawyer Rd, one of the busiest intersections in Los Angeles.

Based on the photo it looks like the McLaren 720S tried its best to avoid hitting that Kia Forte hatch but lost traction and swerved into a pole instead.

This McLaren 720S is headed straight to auction since the cost to repair a carbon fiber monocoque is way more than the owner (or rental place) wants to shell out.

Extensive damage to the driver’s side front end, the articulating doors, suspension components, and structural integrity of the car renders this car as good as junk unless someone wants to throw some serious cash at this supercar.

According to @GraveWork, who posted the closeup above,

” She was driving reckless a.f. passing everyone like a moron.”

With 710 HP at your disposal and enough technology to hit 212 MPH, driving a bonafide supercar on city roads, it’s almost impossible not to act like a d*** and not speed. But, you share the road with us mere mortals in our KIA’s and you must afford them the same respect as any other car.

Mistakes in that KIA will only cost a couple thousand, a mistake in a 720S is six figures and above.
